Now the one thing I like to do when planning any event, let alone the most important day of your life, is to take notes and have an action plan. When it comes to decorating your reception area one of the simpler things to do is decide on your tablecloths and napkins. Quite simply use your foundation color for the tablecloth whether that’s going to be aqua or red and your secondary color for the napkins. As for the rest of the decor, well there are lots of ideas for your to choose from.

I like the idea of using silk rose petals sprinkled on the tables or diamond confetti, the place card holders will also help to bring your personal touch to the decorations and then come the centrepieces……………..

There are so many different ideas for centrepieces that, again, it’s only limited by your imagination. The more traditional idea is to use flowers and this can work really great, although depending on what flowers you choose it can also be a little expensive.

A great idea for a centrepiece is to use Christmas ornaments – yes you heard me correct, Christmas ornaments! Simply buy some plain hurricane vases and fill them with either aqua Christmas ornaments, red Christmas ornaments or a mix of the two in each vase. The look is really effective, add a few tealight candles around the table and you have some lovely table dÃ©cor.
