Gothic Wedding Dresses That Show Some Leg – Oh La La!

A Gothic Wedding Dress is a great choice for a bride that wants to wear a unique wedding dress that will stand out.

There certainly are some great Gothic wedding dresses around including some short ones, because let’s face it you don’t always have to go with a traditional long dress to get married in.

Whether you want to get married in a black wedding dress or a white wedding dress or a different color completely there are a number of different Gothic wedding dresses to choose from, so let’s go wedding dress shopping!

Short Black Gothic Wedding Dresses

Black is the color that we first think of when we think Gothic and so I decided to start off the search for your perfect short Gothic wedding dress with the black dresses!

The first three short dresses would look great with black and white striped tights and big Mary Jane shoes. Alternatively if you prefer the Cyber Goth look you could add neon tights to complete the ensemble.

A Gothic White Wedding Dress

A White Wedding Goth Style!

Most of the Gothic white wedding dresses that I have seen are actually a longer length and medieval in style, however you can think outside of the box if you really want a white wedding and look at these dresses …..

Now I’m sure you’re saying ‘hang on a minute, what’s Gothic about these two dresses’ and this is where I tell you to think outside of the box. While neither of these dresses are Gothic in any sense they do have good bones which means that if you accessorize properly you can create a Goth look with them.

The dress on the left for example would look totally different if worn with ‘don’t mess with me’ black boots and that’s even without thinking about hair, make-up and wedding bouquets.

The dress on the right is a little harder to envisage on a Gothic bride, but there’s something about the longer fabric at the back of the dress that just hints that there’s more to this dress than meets the eye. Try adding lace fingerless gauntlet gloves for starters, matching lace design stockings, Mary Jane shoes and some Gothic jewelry and the look becomes something totally different.

Short Red Gothic Wedding Dresses

Red is a color that is often associated with Gothic fashion whether it symbolizes passion or blood really depends on what type of Goth you are, for some it could symbolize both.

Red is passionate and romantic which is why it is often a great color choice for a wedding dress and not just for Goths, check out these Red Wedding Dresses if you have any doubts.

This corset style dress is very Gothic in style and would look great when teamed with a black bouquet.

Put the bridesmaids in black as well and it will make you stand out even more in your ‘passionate’ red dress!

This next dress is more retro 50s inspired than what you’d normally think of as Gothic, but it accessorized well this can become a perfect rockabilly/Gothic wedding dress.

The red already contains black as well (red and black being a great color combination for a Gothic wedding) in the polka dots and the trim.

Use black roses in your bridal bouquet and a beautiful Gothic pewter necklace around your neck and you’re starting to look like a Gothic Wedding Fantasy!

Short Burgundy Gothic Wedding Dress

Burgundy is a deep, rich color that is embraced by traditional or romantic Goths especially.

This is another dress with a retro feel to it, but I love the fact that the black material in the front gives the impression of an over dress that was often used in Medieval fashion.

Another great thing about this dress is the color combination of rich burgundy with black – overall this would be a gorgeous nod to Gothic fashion that also has a little hint of individuality to it as well.

Short Purple Gothic Wedding Dress

Purple is one of my favorite Gothic colors and this dress is simply gorgeous. Purple, corset, lace …… what else could you ask for in a short Gothic Wedding Dress??

It is a beautiful dress as well as being very affordable – who said getting married had to be expensive!
