It’s not just wedding invitations that you need in the name of stationery, you also need to get save the date cards (or alternatives such as magnets), RSVP cards, reception cards, map or direction cards and postage stamps. If you’re feeling exhausted just thinking about all of that wedding stationery then sit down as I have more for you!
You may also want to get wedding menu cards, escort cards, place cards, wedding website cards, travel/accommodations cards, favor stickers, rehearsal dinner invitations, table name/number cards, bridal binders, wedding programs and thank you cards.
I think that just about covers all of the wedding stationery, but don’t worry you don’t necessarily have to get everything I’ve mentioned as it all comes down to you and your wedding. I must say that I do like the idea of getting a wedding binder that matches your wedding theme as it’s the sort of thing you can keep forever with a sample of things from your wedding.
Whether you decide to send Save the Date cards or not, one thing that you will need to get is wedding invitations. In fact if you really want to keep costs down I think you could get away with just getting invitations and thank you cards. Of course if you’re just having a very small affair you may be able to just phone around, but then if you’re looking at that much of a low key wedding I don’t think you’d be looking on this site!
Here are a few wedding invitations which I like at the moment, they are all available through Zazzle and I do like ordering through them for a few reasons – the first one is that I love their quality, every product I’ve ordered from them has been great. Another reason is that there is a wide variety to choose from and they are a lot more economical than purchasing through a specialized printer (or it is where I live anyways). A third reason is that you can order as many or as little invitations as you like – I’ve had clients (did I mention I also design on Zazzle myself?) order 1 invitation in a couple of different paper/card styles before placing their full order. Just a word of advice though – do order a spare to keep as a souvenir.
When you see a design you like from a beach wedding design to a country wedding design or more you can incorporate it on all of your wedding stationery for continuity. Another great thing about using Zazzle is if you fall in love with a design, but they don’t seem to have a matching reception card for example then you can contact the designer and ask them if they will make one for you. Most of the designers are only too happy to use an existing design of theirs on other products if they know people want them.
